The international break has given clubs an opportunity to focus on their summer recruitment plans as the domestic season approaches its climax.

Spain

Rivals Manchester United and Manchester City will battle over the signing of Neymar if the Brazilian superstar decides to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Real Madrid will be favourites for the 25-year-old's signature, but the player has not ruled out alternatives, although the Ligue 1 leaders remain keen on keeping the gifted attacker at the Parc des Princes. Chelsea were not the only club to try and prise former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko away from Roma during the January transfer window. European champions Real Madrid also made a move for the prolific 32-year-old. (Marca)

Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is happy to continue with Zinedine Zidane in the Bernabeu dugout, having been convinced of the Frenchman's credentials during Real's Champions League last-16 triumph over PSG. (Marca)

Perez has also identified a Premier League star as one of his top summer targets, with Real reportedly viewing Marcus Rashford as the ideal man to supplement their attack. The Spanish side are even willing to allow long-time Manchester United transfer target Gareth Bale to move to Old Trafford in order to secure the 20-year-old Englishman. (Don Balon)

Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes has flopped at the Camp Nou since his £30m move from Valencia in 2016, but interest in the Portuguese international remains high. AC Milan are eyeing a move for the 24-year-old while Jurgen Klopp sees Gomes as a suitable replacement for Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool. (Don Balon)

After failing to take PSG beyond the last 16 of the Champions League for the second year running, many expect the Parisian club to part ways with manager Unai Emery at the end of the season. And Thomas Meunier appears to have confirmed the coach's imminent exit. Asked about his own future in a press conference on Friday, the 26-year-old revealed: "I'm waiting because a lot of things, including the coach, will change." (L'Equipe)

PSG's preferred choice to replace Emery is Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique favouring the Italian tactician. (Le Parisien)
