Celtic: Scottish Premiership 2026/27 fixtures and schedule

The Hoops begin the defence of their title at home to Dundee on August 3, live on Sky Sports; Celtic's first match against Rangers is at home on September 20, live on Sky Sports; Sky Sports will show up to 60 live Scottish Premiership games, including every match across the opening weekend

Celtic Scottish Premiership fixtures 2026/27

Celtic begin their Scottish Premiership title defence at home to Dundee on August 3, live on Sky Sports.

The Monday night clash, which will kick-off at 7.30pm, rounds off a groundbreaking opening weekend that will see all six top-flight games shown live on Sky Sports for the first time.

Martin O'Neill - who was named permanent boss last week - will then take his side to Kilmarnock on August 9 for another match in front of the Sky cameras.

  • Friday July 31: Dundee Utd vs Rangers (8pm)
  • Saturday August 1: Falkirk vs St Mirren (3pm)
  • Saturday August 1: Aberdeen vs Hearts (5.30pm)
  • Sunday August 2: St Johnstone vs Kilmarnock (2pm)
  • Sunday August 2: Hibernian vs Motherwell (4.30pm)
  • Monday August 3: Celtic vs Dundee (7.30pm)

Their first meeting with Rangers will be at Celtic Park on September 20, live on Sky, as O'Neill faces new Ibrox boss Derek McInnes for the first time since they pipped his then team Hearts to the title on the final day of last season.

They host the Jambos on October 17.

Boxing Day fixtures are back with a home game against Motherwell before they start 2027 with a trip to Rangers for the second Old Firm game of the season.

The final pre-split meeting between the Glasgow rivals is at Parkhead on February 27.

What about Europe?

Celtic have a League Cup game on August 15/16 ahead of the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie.

They are then due to face newly promoted St Johnstone in the Premiership on August 22. However, they are allowed to request for that game to be postponed to prepare for the second leg of their European tie on August 25/26.
