The transfer window is shut, and this weekend could see some of the biggest Premier League summer signings make their debuts.

Former Arsenal and England star Ray Parlour dropped into Sky Sports News HQ and gave his verdicts on some of the biggest signings from a record-breaking summer transfer window.

Who's a likely hit and who could prove a miss?

Kevin De Bruyne - Wolfsburg to Man City (£54.5m)

PARLOUR SAYS:

"Last season Kevin De Bruyne really showed his capabilities. He was an unbelievable presence in that team.

"Twenty assists, 10 goals for Wolfsburg. It didn't really work out for him at Chelsea but I think at City it gives them something different."

VERDICT: HIT

Anthony Martial - Monaco to Man Utd (£36m)

PARLOUR SAYS:

"I look forward to seeing him play but I think it's going to be a miss, because the money they've spent is an unbelievable amount.

"For a 19-year-old kid, he's not proven.

"If he proves to be like a Thierry Henry, which is what a lot of people are saying, then he could obviously be a great signing but I think it is a massive gamble to take on a 19-year-old kid.

"With the money they've put out, I could be totally wrong but I'm going to say miss on that one."

VERDICT: MISS

Virgil van Dijk - Celtic to Southampton (£11.5m)

Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk admits he will now consider offers from another clubs

PARLOUR SAYS:

"After losing [Dejan] Lovren and [Toby] Alderweireld to Spurs they needed another centre-half. Southampton watched him but no doubt he's got to step up another level now.

"He's playing against much better players but he can score a goal as well; he's quite dangerous from a set play.

"He's 24, 6ft 4in and a big, strapping centre-half. I think he'll be a hit for Southampton."

VERDICT: HIT

Aaron Lennon - Tottenham to Everton (£4.5m)

PARLOUR SAYS:

"Everton know exactly what they're going to get with Lennon being there last season on loan.

"He had a great career at Tottenham. Maybe people questioned his final ball at times - does he score enough goals?

"I think he'll be something different now. They're going to go wide a lot more. [Romelu] Lukaku will thrive on that, getting balls into the box. I think he'll be a good signing for Everton."

VERDICT: HIT

Nathan Dyer - Swansea to Leicester (season-long loan)

Swansea winger Nathan Dyer will spend the rest of the season on loan at Leicester

PARLOUR SAYS:

"Paul Merson said it was one of the best signings of the transfer window.

"I think he'll do a great job. Leicester started so well under Claudio Ranieri when everyone expected them to do poorly this year.

"Nathan Dyer gives them something different. I think that's a really good signing."

VERDICT: HIT

Michail Antonio - Nottm Forest to West Ham (in region of £7m)

PARLOUR SAYS:

"He's got excellent pace.

"He was involved in so many goals for Nottingham Forest; from 54 appearances, he was involved in 34 with 19 assists so I think it's a great signing for West Ham United."
