Premier League title race: The best statistics on the top four

The Premier League title race is set for a thrilling finale after Arsenal and Tottenham closed the gap on leaders Leicester to two points.

Danny Welbeck's last-gasp goal gave the Gunners a 2-1 win over the Foxes in the first game of Super Sunday, and Tottenham beat Manchester City by the same scoreline just a few hours later.

Leaders Leicester City are 35 points better off than at the same stage last season - when they were four points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Leicester and Manchester City have scored the joint-most goals in the Premier League with 48, but City have taken the most shots (309).

Leicester's Jamie Vardy is the Premier League's top scorer with 19 goals.

Jamie Vardy has won six penalties in the Premier League this season, twice as many as any other player and one more than any other team.

Since the start of last season, only Manchester City's Sergio Aguero (40) has scored more goals than Harry Kane (37).

With 17 assists, Arsenal's Mesut Ozil is just three short of Thierry Henry's Premier League record with 12 games of the season to play.

Mesut Ozil has created the most chances (106) and the most clear-cut chances (23) in the Premier League. Tottenham's Christian Eriksen is second for chances (78) and Leicester's Riyad Mahrez is second for clear-cut chances (14).

Arsenal have the highest pass accuracy in the Premier League (84.14 per cent) while Leicester have the lowest (69 per cent).

Leicester are second only to Liverpool for tackles won in the Premier League with 601, while they lead the way for interceptions with 570.

N'Golo Kante is the only player in the Premier League to have made more than a hundred tackles (108) and interceptions (109).

Tottenham proved they are serious title contenders in their 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Tottenham have conceded more fouls (329) than any other Premier League side, and Erik Lamela leads the way with 47.

Arsenal have won more fouls (300) than any of their top four rivals, but Tottenham's Dele Alli is the most fouled player in the top four (53).

Tottenham have the best defensive record in the Premier League with 20 goals conceded in 26 games, but they have only kept nine clean sheets compared to Arsenal's 12.

Tottenham have faced the fewest shots on target in the Premier League with 79. Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal have faced 93, 205 and 107 respectively.

Only Aston Villa have received more yellow cards than Tottenham (51). Spurs' most booked player is Eric Dier with eight.

Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld has only conceded seven fouls in 26 appearances this season.

Manchester City have lost four home games in the Premier League this season, more than they had in Manuel Pellegrini's first two seasons combined (three).

Manchester City have taken the fewest points (one) from games against the top four this season, while Arsenal have taken the most (10).

Arsenal's Olivier Giroud has had more headed shots (31) than any other Premier League player.

Arsenal will end the 2015/16 season as the only Premier League side to beat Leicester home and away.
