Jurgen Klopp's side have sustained a league-high 66 injuries to date, with the Ox now joining Joe Gomez, Sadio Mane, Adam Lallana, Joel Matip and Emre Can on the sidelines - but, in terms of days lost, the Reds have only suffered mildly.

Watford have been hit hardest with 1,871 days lost through injuries this season - primarily from Younes Kaboul (263 days), Nathaniel Chalobah (225), Craig Cathcart (203), Isaac Success (125) and Tom Cleverley (109).

West Ham have lost 1,509 days - with James Collins (157), Winston Reid (154), Edimilson Reid (149) and Sam Byram (132) among the worst affected - followed by Crystal Palace (1,501), Burnley (1,350) and Everton (1,191).

Of the big six clubs, United have suffered most with 1,154 days - with Marouane Fellaini (150), Michael Carrick (125), Eric Bailly (123), Phil Jones (115) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (97) sidelined for the longest periods.

Chelsea and Manchester City have both lost 882 days - with Benjamin Mendy (211), David Luiz (153), Vincent Kompany (130) and Fabian Delph (102) having the longest spells sidelined - followed by Arsenal (843), Liverpool (798) and Tottenham (737).

Southampton have had the fittest squad - despite currently sitting in the relegation places - losing a league-low 593 days through injuries, with Charlie Austin accounting for 116 days of that total.

The data also provides supporting evidence for a winter break, with the top two months for injuries in the Premier League being December (126 injuries) and January (143).

In terms of players injured this season, Watford's Kaboul has missed a league-high 263 days to date with a metatarsal fracture, followed by Steve Sidwell (250), Tyrone Mings (226) and Chalobah.

Other players to have been sidelined for considerable periods include Barkley with 220 in total (144 for Everton and 76 for Chelsea), Benjamin Mendy (211), James Morrison, Tom Heaton (209), Cathcart and Jonathan Walters (203).
