Garry Monk is determined to turnaround Swansea's poor run of form and insists he has the backing of chairman Huw Jenkins.
City have won just once in nine Premier League matches and face a tough-looking run of fixtures, starting with Sunday's trip to Liverpool, although Sky sources say there is no imminent threat to his job.
Games against leaders Leicester and Manchester City follow after that, but Monk is confident a united front will soon see Swansea rediscover the kind of form that secured an eighth-placed finish in his first full season as manager.
"I speak to the chairman and he is extraordinarily supportive," said Monk, speaking at his pre-Liverpool press conference.
"That word 'trust' is from top to bottom, from him, when I have my discussion with him. It is normal.
"It is normal to have discussions with the chairman and the board. Talk about performances, football in general, what went well, what didn't go well, what has to be improved and how we go about that as a group.
"All those things, that word trust is something that is clear from him. He trusts how I work, he's seen the success, what I bring to the club has worked in the past and he knows we can get through this period if we are all united, which we are, and we make sure we get through it and come back to our best.
"We must trust what we do. We've been very successful during my time here and the players understand and trust that process.
"We're in a moment where we're not playing at our best but trusting the process is the most important part and that is what we'll continue to do and try to improve.
"But we will come out fighting because that is what this club has been built on. The players understand that, they are working incredibly hard to put it right, and I can see that commitment."
