Ipswich Town have signed Jonny Williams on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.

The loan will be Williams' fourth at Portman Road, following other temporary spells at the club in 2014 and 2015.

His first period at Ipswich was in February 2014, during which he scored the club's goal of the season in the win over Derby, one of 13 appearances he made in a three-month stay.

Two further loan stays followed in 2014/15 but both were hindered by a groin injury.

The midfielder made 10 appearances on loan for Nottingham Forest last season before being recalled by Palace and he finished the campaign on loan at Milton Keynes, where he played 14 times.

Williams was named in the Wales squad for Euro 2016 and followed a start in their opening group game win over Slovakia with substitute appearances against England, Northern Ireland and Portugal in the semi-finals.

An ankle injury picked up in Palace's last pre-season game has seen him miss the start of the season but he is running now and expects to be back in action at the start of October.
