Bojan Krkic has told Stoke he wants to leave the club in this transfer window, if the right offer comes in for him, according to Sky sources.

The 26-year-old Spaniard wasn't in the Potters' squad for Saturday's 3-1 win at Sunderland having told manager Mark Hughes he had some mild discomfort in his hip.

Hughes has repeated his desire to keep the forward, signed from Barcelona for £3m in the summer of 2014, and has told him he's still a key part of his plans.

It is understood Stoke value Bojan, who has become unsettled at the Bet365 Stadium, at around £12m.

Middlesbrough have also made an enquiry over his services, but have yet to make a bid.

West Brom, Las Palmas and Valencia have also made their own interest known during the first two weeks of the January transfer window.

Hughes recently assured Bojan of more game time after a meeting with his representatives, while Boro boss Aitor Karanka recently spoke in glowing terms of the player.
