Manchester United could bring in a pair of Ligue 1 players over the summer as they lead the race to sign Paris St Germain's Marco Verratti and Bordeaux's Malcom, despite keen interest from other top European clubs, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Mourinho is looking to recruit a top-class replacement for Marouane Fellaini if the Belgian continues to reject a new deal. United are being linked with a bid of between £75m-100m for Italian international Verratti.
Diogo Dalot will have his Manchester United medical this week ahead of a proposed move from FC Porto, according to Sky sources.
Mourinho has been in the market for a right-back and looks set to land Dalot after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the 19-year-old.
