John Terry has been showcasing his fitness at Chelsea's training ground as the race to sign him heats up.
The departing Chelsea captain will leave Stamford Bridge for good when his contract runs out at the end of June and he has already been stepping up efforts to prove he is ready for a new challenge at the Blues' Cobham base.
Terry was pictured playing golf with the manager Steve Bruce earlier this month, Terry also uploaded a video of himself training with the Villa boss' son, Alex Bruce, on Instagram.
Birmingham manager Harry Redknapp claims Terry has many admirers, but retains hope the 36-year-old can make a big impact at St Andrew's.
"It is up to John - we would love to have him here," Redknapp told the Birmingham Mail. "I have always been a great John Terry fan.
"I would love to have him at Birmingham - he would be a massive player for us.
"But there are other clubs interested."
Terry is believed to be open to the idea of moving to Villa Park but he also has options with Premier League sides and is confident he can still perform at the highest level.
