Italy

Chelsea are ready to join the race for Roma goalkeeper Alisson. The Brazil international has also been linked with Real Madrid so the Blues are thinking of sending Thibaut Courtois to Spain in order to get their man. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Diego Godin and Matthijs de Ligt are Juventus transfer targets with the Italian club looking for possible replacements for Daniele Rugani. The talented 23-year-old centre-back is rumoured to be a Chelsea transfer target. (Tuttosport)

Speaking of Rugani, Chelsea have reportedly submitted another offer for him. A package worth £26m was rejected and so the Blues have upped it to £30m. (Il Messaggero)

France

Lyon have a replacement in mind should Tanguy N'dombele leave the club. They've reportedly lined up Strasbourg's Jean-Eudes Aholou in case the promising 21-year-old is snapped up. (L'Equipe)

Paul Pogba has spoken to the media at a press conference on French national team duty for the first time since the 2014 World Cup, having been the only player not to be put forward in that time. "It's true that I'm not very talkative, I like to express myself on the pitch," he said. (L'Equipe)

Spain

Marco Asensio is concerned about his future at Real Madrid and will seek assurances about game-time from new coach Julen Lopetegui. The 22-year-old Spanish midfielder is reportedly a Liverpool transfer target, and would like to play more than he did under old boss Zinedine Zidane. (Diario Gol)

Germany

The German press understandably lead on Germany's last-gasp win against Sweden in the World Cup. 'Toni you are a football god', say Bild. (Bild)

Toni the football god raised eyebrows with comments post-match, though, that "many people in Germany would have been happy if we had gone out." He later explained the comments by saying that some seemed to find it more fun to criticise than to support. (ARD via Sport Bild)

Sweden

After that match, Sweden were unhappy about the way Germany celebrated. "That was a lack of respect, disgusting behavior!" RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg said, while coach Janne Andersson said: "Some people behaved in a way that was not correct. You also have to let your opponent mourn in peace." (TV4)
