Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool's place in next season's Champions League is not yet secure despite victory over Watford.

A 1-0 win at Vicarage Road on Monday strengthened Liverpool's grip on third place ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United, who they lead by three and four points respectively.

Maximum points from Liverpool's last three games - against Southampton, West Ham United and Middlesbrough - will guarantee the Reds a Champions League qualification place, but Klopp is taking nothing for granted.

"We need to stay focused, we need to stay concentrated," said Klopp.

"We have pressure until the end of the season, but that's a positive pressure. It means we are fighting for something.

"So we'll do everything for the points we can get, but it won't be easy.

Emre Can's spectacular overhead kick proved decisive in the one-goal win over the Hornets, and Klopp has been delighted with the player's form since returning from a calf injury - with the likes of Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane still sidelined.

"It's not a surprise," Klopp told Sky Sports. "In this moment, we have three experienced players if you like with Lucas, Georginio Wijnaldum and now with Emre."

"We have all of these situations [with injuries] so it is important that Emre is a bit more mature so that's important."
