Liverpool have announced that they will take on Athletic Bilbao in a pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on August 5.
It will be a first game at the Aviva for Jurgen Klopp's side since they beat Shamrock Rovers 4-0 more than three years ago.
Liverpool FC ambassador Ian Rush scored against Athletic the last time the teams met during Liverpool's triumphant 1984-84 European Cup campaign.
Rush told the Liverpool website: "We always get such an amazing reception in Dublin.
"Even though this is a friendly game, I'm sure our incredible Irish supporters will make the atmosphere just as good when we meet Athletic Club this time around."
Prior to that, the Reds will take on Crystal Palace in their first game at the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong on July 19.
Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion will clash in the tournament's other semi-final, before a third-place play-off and final on July 22.
