All the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Saturday, June 3.

Liverpool will nearly double the wages of Mohamed Salah as they look to land one of their key summer transfer targets, the Daily Mail reports.

Sky in Italy reported on Friday that the Reds had a £28m bid turned down for the Roma winger, but talks remain ongoing between all parties.

Another rumoured Liverpool target is Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, with the Daily Express reporting that the club have made approaches for his services along with Roma and Juventus.

Marca also says that the Brazil international is considering a move away from the Nou Camp to better his chances of making the World Cup squad next year, with Ernesto Valverde's arrival throwing his future into doubt.

ESPN are also linking Liverpool to Lazio starlet Keita Balde, who has a year left on his current deal with the Rome-based club.

Liverpool legend Ian Rush also expects Philippe Coutinho to ignore reported interest from Barcelona and stay at Anfield.

"He's a quality player and he can play for any team in the world the way he played this year, but if you're in the Champions League then I would expect him to stay", he told Spanish outlet AS.

"It's another experience for him. There's a time and place for everything and Coutinho wants to play in the Champions League because he's a champion - but Liverpool will give him the chance to do that.

"I am pretty certain he will stay even though there are rumours about everything. The fans want him to stay."

Liverpool have already been dealt a transfer blow though as rumoured Franck Kessie signed a two-year loan deal with AC Milan on Friday.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has moved to the San Siro from Atalanta and Milan able to purchase him after the loan ends, putting an end to any other potential transfer interest.
