Arsenal target a defender from the Bundesliga, as we round up the latest rumours on Wednesday, May 16.
Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is an admirer of Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu, according to Football London.
Apparently, the 21-year-old has his heart set on a move to England and Arsenal are one of several clubs in discussions with Freiburg over a potential deal.
"The main objective of the player is to play in the Premier League, that I can tell you at the moment," his agent, Mustafa Dogru, told Football London.
"We are negotiating with some clubs, but I can't give the name of the clubs - I'm sorry. Next week we will have some meetings and I think in 10 or 15 days his situation will be clear."
Arsenal have held talks with Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, but the Daily Mirror say Chelsea are in pole position to sign the 26-year-old.
The Evening Standard also report that Seri would favour a move to either Manchester City or Chelsea over Arsenal.
Napoli want £88m for defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to the Daily Star.
The defender is reportedly a target for several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.
