Jordan Pickford's Everton switch moves a step closer

LONDON, ENGLAND - MAY 16: Jordan Pickford of Sunderland kick the ball during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on

Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has undergone a medical ahead of a planned £30m move to Everton, according to Sky sources.

The medical took place in Poland, where Pickford is currently preparing for the Under-21 Euros with his England U21 team-mates.

Sky sources reported earlier this week that Everton and Sunderland had agreed a £30m fee for Pickford, who was one of the star performers for the relegated Black Cats during their disappointing 2016/17 campaign.

The 23-year-old made 32 appearances for Sunderland over the course of the campaign and took home the player of the season award.
