Michael Keane undergoes Everton medical ahead of transfer

Everton are close to completing the signing of Michael Keane after the Burnley defender underwent a medical on Merseyside on Monday morning.

Discussions between the two clubs are nearing completion with both sides hopeful a deal can be done.

Keane joined Burnley from Manchester United for £2million in January 2015, four years after signing his first professional contract at Old Trafford.

He played in 35 of Burnley's 38 Premier League matches last season and made his international debut in a 1-0 defeat to Germany in March.

Everton have already completed deals for England U21 goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, Dutch international Davy Klaassen Sandro Ramirez from Malaga and Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru.
