Tiago Ilori will leave Liverpool for Championship club Reading in the next 24 hours, according to Sky sources.

The Reds accepted a £3.75m bid for their Portuguese defender last week and it was left to the player to make a decision on his future.

And Ilori, who has made just three FA Cup appearances in three-and-a-half years at Anfield, is expected to complete a transfer.

The 23-year-old has represented Portugal at youth and Olympic level but has been unable to find a route to the Liverpool first team under either Brendan Rodgers or Jurgen Klopp.

Ilori's three senior starts all came in last season's FA Cup and he has spent time on loan at Granada, Bordeaux and Aston Villa since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in September 2013.
