Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sell Jordan Amavi to Spanish side Sevilla.
The left-back is set to sign a five-year contract with the LA Liga side, subject to a medical, and end a two-year spell in the Midlands.
Amavi joined Villa from Nice in a £9m move from French club Nice as part of a major recruitment drive aimed at keeping Villa in the Premier League in the summer of 2015.
But instead he was part of the side relegated to the Sky Bet Championship less than a year later under Tim Sherwood, his successor Remi Garde and then caretaker Eric Black.
Amavi made 36 appearances as Villa struggled to get to grips with the second tier last season, and new manager Steve Bruce has been prepared to let him leave.
Bruce has so far signed just one player this summer; ex-England captain John Terry on a free transfer following his release from Chelsea.
Villa owner Tony Xia tweeted earlier this week that he "still can't help being mad with some contracts inherited" from the previous owners of the club.
