Aston Villa defender Aly Cissokho has joined Porto on a season-long loan deal.
The 27-year-old left-back, who spent the 2013-14 campaign on loan with Liverpool, signed for Villa from Valencia for £3.5m in August last year and made 25 appearances last season.
However, he has only seen 90 minutes of action during the pre-season campaign, suggesting manager Tim Sherwood does not see him as a major part of his plans.
And, despite having three years left on his Villa deal, Cissokho will head to Portugal for the upcoming season at least, as Sherwood continues to revamp his squad.
