Yaya Toure should consider a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille to help revive his career, according to his brother Kolo.
The Manchester City midfielder has made just one appearance under Pep Guardiola after comments made by his agent Dimitri Seluk angered the Spaniard.
Yaya has since apologised and committed his future to the club - although Seluk is yet to do the same - but remains an outcast at City after not being named in their Champions League squad earlier this season.
And older brother and Celtic defender Kolo has now had his say on his sibling's situation, and believes the Ivory Coast international should consider a move back to France, having played for Monaco earlier in his career.
"Yes, why not? He still has talent and some things to prove. It's certain that it's difficult at City right now," he told French outlet RMC Sport when asked about the possibility of a Marseille move.
"We have all been through that. You're at the top at one moment, and then you go back down. You have to understand that you need a change of scenery, go to a place where people want you.
"I haven't spoken about it with him. He's still at City, I respect that. But OM [Olympique de Marseille] is a super club and he knows the French league well."
Yaya spent the 2006/07 season at Monaco, making 27 appearances and scoring five goals for the club in Ligue 1 before moving to Barcelona.
Marseille were recently purchased by American businessman Frank McCourt, who has previously owned Major League Baseball side LA Dodgers and has pledged to build a side capable of challenging Paris Saint-Germain for the league title.
