Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he is happy with the progress made by Kyle Walker but feels the defender can improve even further.
Walker joined City from Tottenham for £50m last summer and the England international secured his first piece of silverware as a professional after helping Guardiola's side to the Premier League title.
But Guardiola is convinced Walker can step up another level if he works on a number of key aspects of his game.
"We are so satisfied about his level," Guardiola said. "We have spoken to him many times and still he has a big gap to improve, his style, his way to play and his focus in the game.
"Hopefully we can help him have a target for next season, to try and help him be a better player."
When pushed on how exactly Walker could improve, his manager added: "His accuracy with the ball, making simple passes - because he can lose the ball - and to be focused on what he has to do for 90 minutes.
"Sometimes he has high moments and then he is down low. He needs to maintain as a defender a seven, eight [out of 10].
"You have to be focused on what you have to do and it doesn't matter what happens during the game, good or bad, because you are a top, top player and he can do it."
Guardiola was also asked about the future of goalkeeper Joe Hart, who has spent a largely frustrating season at West Ham, having been loaned out to Torino the previous campaign.
"He is going to come back here and he is going to speak to the manager and the club and we are going to decide [what to do]," added Guardiola.
