Burton are in talks with Fulham to re-sign striker Cauley Woodrow for a second loan spell, according to Sky sources.
The 22-year-old made 14 Championship appearances for the Brewers during a season-long loan last season, and scored five goals.
Burton have been interested in bringing the forward back to the Pirelli Stadium on a permanent deal, but Woodrow has been part of the Whites squad while they look to sign another centre-forward.
Fulham have so far signed Aboubakar Kamara from Amiens and have been hoping to land Diego Rolan after agreeing a £2m deal with Toulouse, but the Uruguayan has not been keen on the move to Craven Cottage.
Burton have so far signed five players in the current transfer window, four of them on free transfers. They are Jake Buxton, Matty Lund, Stephen Warnock and Hope Akpan. Liam Boyce has also joined on loan.
And Woodrow, who has scored 10 goals in 64 appearances for Fulham, is set to follow.
