Sheffield United launch bid for Bradford striker James Hanson

Sheffield United have made a bid for Bradford City striker James Hanson, according to Sky sources.

The Bantams are currently considering the offer from their Yorkshire and League One rivals.

Hanson, 29, has been at Bradford City for nearly eight years after signing from non-league Guiseley in 2009.

Hanson has scored four goals in 20 appearances this season but has 91 in total in more than 300 appearances for the club.

He began his youth career at Huddersfield Town before joining Bradford's academy, but was released into non-league football with Eccleshill United in 2006.
