Sheffield United have seen two bids rejected for Blackburn defender Darragh Lenihan.

Sky Sports News HQ understands the first was in the region of £400,000 and the second around £500,000 plus add-ons.

Rovers, who were relegated to Sky Bet League One last season, want to keep the 23-year-old centre-back.

But the Blades remain very keen and are expected to make another offer.

United, who were promoted to the Championship in May, have also expressed an interest in free agent Mike Williamson following his release from Wolves.

Williamson was injured for most of last season but ended the campaign well and hoped to earn another deal at Molineux.
