Borussia Monchengladbach have announced that midfielder Havard Nordtveit will not be renewing his contract when it expires this summer - and that he is set for a move to England.

The Bundesliga club did not specify where he would be going, but the Norweigan international, 25, has been linked by the Daily Mail with a move to West Ham.

"Havard Nordtveit has opted not to extend his contract and will move to England in the summer," Monchengladbach tweeted on Sunday.

Nordtveit has made 31 appearances for the club this season, and featured against Manchester City twice as they were knocked out in the group stage of the Champions League.

He was at Arsenal between 2007-10, but never made an appearance under Arsene Wenger before joining Monchengladbach.
