Mark Hughes says Stoke City have no intention of selling Glen Johnson to West Ham, or any other club.
The Hammers have been linked with several new recruits during the transfer window, having had a £3m bid for Hull forward Robert Snodgrass turned down and a £6m offer for Sunderland's Jermain Defoe snubbed.
They have also been strongly linked with Celtic striker Moussa Dembele but Sky sources understand no bid has been made for the Hoops' 19-goal man.
Hughes is adamant former player Johnson will not be making a return to West Ham to help shore up a defence which has leaked 35 goals in 20 Premier League games.
"West Ham being linked with lots of players but he (Johnson) is playing and isn't going anywhere," said Hughes.
"We have the option to extend his contract and are comfortable with the situation."
Hughes also confirmed that discussions have already been held with striker Peter Crouch over an extension to his contract at the club.
Crouch has scored five goals in 13 appearances this season, including two in his past two games, and Hughes is in no mood to let the striker, who turns 36 later this month, leave the club.
"Talks over a new contract have started," Hughes said. "He's playing well and come back in to great effect. I've not seen any deterioration in his quality since arriving."
