West Ham United are interested in signing German striker Max Kruse from Werder Bremen.
Kruse scored 15 times in 23 Bundesliga appearances last season but he has been told he can leave if another club offer 12 million euros (£10.4m).
The 29-year-old, who has 14 caps for Germany, has only been at Werder Bremen for one season after joining from Wolfsburg in August 2016.
West Ham, who are determined to sign at least one new forward this summer, put in an offer for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho last week.
City value the 20-year-old at £20m and several other Premier League clubs are reportedly interested.
The 20-year-old Nigerian is due to fly to England on Monday June 12 for talks with interested clubs.
In addition, West Ham are also considering moves from Michy Batshuayi of Chelsea and Montpellier's Steve Mounie.
The Hammers have already agreed a deal for full-back Pablo Zabaleta, who will leave Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the month and become a West Ham player on July 1.
