We look at how Arsenal and Tottenham players fared on international duty ahead of the North London derby on Sky Sports Premier League.

From match-winning performances to fresh injury concerns, Arsenal and Spurs players were at the heart of the action over the international weekend.

As we count down to Saturday's lunch-time kick-off, live on Sky Sports Premier League from 11.30am, we look at which players could miss out, and who will be heading to the Emirates in a buoyant mood...

Arsenal

Olivier Giroud scored in France's 2-0 friendly win over Wales at the Stade De France, though he was sent back to Arsenal after suffering a thigh injury. Laurent Koscielny helped the hosts keep a clean sheet in that match, while Aaron Ramsey started for Wales.

In Giroud's absence, Alexandre Lacazette then scored twice in France's 2-2 friendly draw with Germany on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka played both legs as Switzerland secured a 1-0 aggregate victory to reach the World Cup at the expense of Northern Ireland.

Mesut Ozil played all 90 minutes in both Germany's 0-0 draw with England on Friday and the 2-2 draw with France on Tuesday.

Eddie Nketiah scored the winner as England Under-19s beat Iceland 2-1 in European U19 Championship qualifying. Alex Iwobi scored twice as Nigeria beat Argentina 4-2 in a friendly on Tuesday.

Mohamed Elneny travelled to Ghana with Egypt, and started in Sunday's 1-1 draw in the World Cup Qualifier.

Tottenham

Christian Eriksen scored a hat-trick as Denmark came from behind to end the Republic of Ireland's World Cup dream with an emphatic 5-1 play-off win in Dublin.

Christian Eriksen scored a wonderful hat-trick as Denmark dismantled the Republic of Ireland 5-1 in the second leg of the World Cup qualifier play-off.

Eric Dier captained England for the first time in their 0-0 draw at home to Wembley - doing so again in the 0-0 draw against Brazil. Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose both started against Germany, while the latter came off the bench for in the Brazil game.

Dele Alli did not feature in the England squad after picking up a hamstring problem, while Harry Kane and Harry Winks were withdrawn due to injury. Kane has been declared fit for Saturday's derby, although doubts remain over whether Alli and Winks will feature.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confirms Harry Kane will be fit to face Arsenal and discusses his own future at the club.

Jan Vertonghen sat out of Belgium's 3-3 friendly draw with Mexico due to injury, but returned for the 1-0 victory over Japan. Mousa Dembele played the second half in both matches.

Heung-Min Son scored both goals as South Korea ran out 2-1 winners in a friendly against Colombia, who had Davinson Sanchez in their starting line-up. Sanchez also starred in Colombia's 4-0 win over China on Tuesday.

Ben Davies started for Wales in their 2-0 friendly defeat at France on Friday, while he played the opening 45 minutes of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Panama.

Serge Aurier will not be playing at the World Cup after Ivory Coast failed to qualify following a 2-0 defeat to Morocco. Moussa Sissoko was an unused sub in both of France's games against Wales and Germany.

Bournemouth

Nathan Ake started in defence as the Netherlands beat Scotland 1-0 in a friendly. Ryan Fraser came off the bench for Scotland. Ake featured again in their 3-3 draw with Russia on Tuesday.

Harry Arter started both legs for the Republic of Ireland against Denmark, who romped to a 5-1 victory on Tuesday night to break Irish hearts.

Highlights of the friendly between Scotland and the Netherlands

Brighton

Goalkeeper Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet as Australia drew 0-0 at Honduras in their World Cup play-off first leg, while the Socceroos went on to book their spot in Russia with a 3-1 win on Wednesday.

Shane Duffy scored the opening goal for the Republic of Ireland against Denmark, but the Irish ended up losing 5-1 to see their World Cup dream end.

Davy Propper started for the Netherlands in their 3-3 friendly draw with Russia on Tuesday.

Burnley

Jack Cork made his senior debut for England after coming on as a late substitute in the 0-0 draw with Germany at Wembley.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson played the first half of Iceland's 2-1 friendly loss at home to Czech Republic. Sam Vokes played the majority of Wales' 2-0 defeat to France on Friday, before missing a penalty in the 1-1 draw with Panama on Tuesday.

Stephen Ward, Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady all started for the Republic of Ireland in both legs against Denmark in the 5-1 play-off defeat which ended their World Cup dream.

Chelsea

Chelsea suffered a double blow as Tiemoue Bakayoko (France) and Michy Batshuayi (Belgium) were sent home after injuries in training.

Eden Hazard scored Belgium's opening goal in a 3-3 friendly draw with Mexico, with Thibaut Courtois also starting in goal. Hazard also played in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Japan.

Alvaro Morata netted for Spain as they beat Costa Rica 5-0 in a friendly.

Willian captained Brazil and was involved the third goal finished off by Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus in a 3-1 friendly win over Japan. Antonio Rudiger started for Germany in their 0-0 draw with England at Wembley.

Mason Mount scored the opening goal from a free-kick as England Under-19s beat Iceland 2-1 in European U19 Championship qualifying.

Andreas Christensen played all 90 minutes of Denmark's second leg play-off against the Republic of Ireland, as they secured a spot in the World Cup with a 5-1 win.

Crystal Palace

Ruben Loftus-Cheek put in a man-of-the-match performance as England held world champions Germany to a goalless draw on Friday evening. He then hobbled off in the 0-0 draw with Brazil on Tuesday.

On-loan defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah started for the Netherlands as they beat Scotland 1-0 in a friendly. Wayne Hennessey started in goal for Wales as they lost 2-0 to France.

Wilfried Zaha will not be playing at the World Cup after Ivory Coast failed to qualify following a 2-0 defeat to Morocco.

Everton

Jordan Pickford started for England ahead of Joe Hart in their friendly with Germany on Friday, playing all 90 minutes and keeping a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw.

Ashley Williams captained Wales as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at France on Friday evening.

Gylfi Sigurdsson captained Iceland in their 1-1 friendly draw with 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar on Tuesday.

Huddersfield Town

Aaron Mooy played all 90 minutes in Australia's 0-0 first-leg draw away to Honduras - and the Socceroos went on to book their spot in Russia with a 3-1 win on Wednesday.

Leicester City

Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy started in both of England's 0-0 friendly draws at home to Germany and Brazil. Andy King started for Wales in their 2-0 defeat away to France.

Kasper Schmeichel played both legs as Denmark booked their spot in the World Cup with a 5-1 play-off victory over the Republic of Ireland.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored Nigeria's opening goal as they enjoyed a 4-2 friendly win over Argentina on Tuesday. Wilfred Ndidi played all 90 minutes in the clash.

Highlights of the World Cup play-off first leg between Croatia and Greece

Liverpool

Joe Gomez put in a man-of-the-match performance on his full England debut in the 0-0 draw with Brazil. That came after he replaced the injured Phil Jones after 25 minutes to make his senior England debut in the 0-0 draw with Germany. Emre Can also came off the bench for the world champions.

Philippe Coutinho started in Brazil's match against England at Wembley, while Roberto Firmino came off the bench. Dominic Solanke also made his senior debut for England as a substitute.

Dejan Lovren helped Croatia book their spot in Russia next summer, playing both matches as they beat Greece 4-1 in the World Cup play-offs.

Andrew Robertson played 90 minutes for Scotland in their 1-0 friendly defeat to the Netherlands, who had Georginio Wijnaldum in their starting line-up. Ben Woodburn was a second-half substitute for Wales in their 2-0 loss to France on Friday, and then started in their 1-1 draw with Panama on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane returned to Liverpool after Senegal's match with South Africa for treatment on an injury.

Alberto Moreno came off the bench in Spain's 3-3 friendly draw with Russia on Tuesday. Simon Mignolet kept a clean sheet as Belgium enjoyed a 1-0 friendly win over Japan, in which Divock Origi came off the bench.

Manchester City

Three City players started in the England v Germany friendly at Wembley on Friday, John Stones got the nod in defence for the hosts, while Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan were in the visitors' line-up. Kyle Walker also came off the bench in the 0-0 draw. Gundogan started once more in Germany's 2-2 draw with France on Tuesday.

Walker and Stones then started for England in the 0-0 draw with Brazil on Tuesday.

Danilo's cross was met by City team-mate Gabriel Jesus for Brazil's third goal as they enjoyed a 3-1 friendly win over Japan, with Fernandinho playing 90 minutes.

Sergio Aguero has undergone medical checks after reports he fell ill during Argentina's 4-2 defeat by Nigeria in a friendly in Krasnodar on Tuesday. That came after the striker scored a late winner as Argentina beat World Cup hosts Russia 1-0 in a friendly on Saturday. Nicolas Otamendi played 90 minutes in both matches.

David Silva scored twice in Spain's 5-0 friendly win over Costa Rica, while he came off the bench in their 3-3 draw with Russia on Tuesday.

Kevin De Bruyne played the first half of Belgium's 3-3 draw with Mexico, while he came off after 62 minutes in their 1-0 win over Japan on Tuesday. Bernardo Silva started for Portugal in their 3-0 friendly win over Saudi Arabia.

Manchester United

Phil Jones suffered an injury scare after coming off after 25 minutes in England's friendly with Germany, which ended 0-0. Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford both came off the bench for the Three Lions. Rashford started in the 0-0 draw with Brazil, while Lingard was once more used as a sub, as was Ashley Young, who made his first appearance for England in four years.

Victor Lindelof helped Sweden keep a clean sheet as they made home advantage count with a 1-0 first-leg win over Italy in the World Cup play-offs - Matteo Darmian played all 90 minutes for the visitors.

Both players started again in the second leg as Sweden held on for a goalless draw to qualify for the World Cup.

Romelu Lukaku became Belgium's all-time record goalscorer by netting the winner in a 1-0 victory over fellow World Cup qualifiers Japan in Bruges. That came after he equalled the record after scoring twice against Mexico in Friday night's 3-3 friendly draw.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored Armenia's second goal as they ran out 4-1 winners over Belarus in a friendly. Daley Blind started in midfield for the Netherlands in their 1-0 friendly win in Scotland, and started once more in the 3-0 victory over Romania on Tuesday.

David De Gea shipped three goals in Spain's 3-3 friendly draw with Russia on Tuesday. Anthony Martial started in France's 2-2 draw with Germany on Tuesday.

Highlights of the World Cup play-off first leg between Sweden and Italy

Newcastle United

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored Serbia's second goal in their 2-0 friendly victory over China.

Chancel Mbemba played for DR Congo as they finished their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win over Guinea. The result was not enough for DR Congo to qualify for the World Cup.

Ciaran Clark started both matches as the Republic of Ireland fell to a 5-1 World Cup play-off defeat at the hands of Denmark.

Stoke City

Xherdan Shaqiri earned a controversial penalty for Switzerland in their World Cup play-off first leg, with the resulting spot-kick handing them a 1-0 advantage over Northern Ireland. The Swiss protected their lead on Sunday evening to book their place in Russia next year.

Joe Allen started for Wales in their 2-0 loss to France on Friday.

Southampton

Steven Davis suffered heartbreak with Northern Ireland as a 1-0 aggregate loss to Switzerland saw their World Cup dream come to an end.

Ryan Bertrand was a second-half substitute in England's 0-0 draw with Germany, while he started in the goalless draw against Brazil.

Virgil van Dijk played the full match as the Netherlands beat Scotland 1-0 in a friendly on Thursday, and did so again in the 3-0 victory over Romania on Tuesday. Dusan Tadic played all 90 minutes as Serbia recorded a 2-0 win over China in a friendly.

Shane Long was a late sub for the Republic of Ireland in both of their matches against Denmark, which they lost 5-1 on aggregate to see their World Cup dream end.

Swansea City

Ki Sung-yueng captained South Korea in a 2-1 friendly victory over Colombia.

Tammy Abraham started in England's 0-0 draw with Germany before coming on as a substitute against Brazil in the goalless draw.

Watford

Andre Carrillo played 78 minutes for Peru as their 0-0 draw in New Zealand meant victory at home on Wednesday will book their spot in the World Cup finals.

Orestis Karnezis played both matches as Greece fell to a heavy 4-1 defeat to Croatia, ending their World Cup qualification hopes.

West Brom

The Baggies trio of Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley and Chris Brunt played both of Northern Ireland's play-off encounters against Switzerland, but ultimately suffered heartbreak after a 1-0 aggregate defeat.

Jake Livermore was named in Gareth Southgate's starting XI for both of England's 0-0 draws at Wembley with Germany and Brazil. Matt Phillips played all 90 minutes for Scotland in their 1-0 friendly defeat to the Netherlands.

Nacer Chadli started for Belgium in their 3-3 friendly draw with Mexico, and also their 1-0 win over Japan. Grzegorz Krychowiak played for Poland in their goalless draw with Uruguay.

James McClean started both games as the Republic of Ireland fell to a 5-1 play-off defeat to Denmark.

Salomon Rondon started but failed to find the net as Venezuela were beaten 1-0 in a friendly by Iran.

West Ham

Javier Hernandez suffered a suspected hamstring injury during Mexico's 3-3 draw with Belgium on Friday. The striker is back at West Ham awaiting a scan, and is a major doubt for Sunday's trip to Watford.

Marko Arnautovic played 86 minutes for Austria as they beat Uruguay 2-1 in a friendly on Tuesday.

Joe Hart kept a clean sheet for England in their 0-0 draw with Brazil at Wembley on Tuesday.
