Hull City are carrying out an internal investigation after fans invaded the pitch and confronted Derby players and staff after their playoff semi-final win

Hull are carrying out an internal investigation following events at their Sky Bet Championship play-off semi-final on Tuesday night.

The club have told Sky Sports News HQ that "anyone found to have been acting in an aggressive manner will be dealt with by the club".

Several hundred supporters invaded the pitch after the second leg against Derby County at the KC Stadium.

Derby won the tie 2-0 but Hull advanced to the Wembley final with a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

Visiting captain Richard Keogh was confronted by a Hull supporter after the final whistle as the home fans celebrated their success, although no immediate incidents were reported to the police.

Hull will play Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship playoff final on May 28.
