Birmingham have allowed American defender Jonathan Spector to return to his homeland and sign for Major League Soccer outfit Orlando City.
The 30-year-old's contract, which was due to expire in the summer, has been cancelled by mutual consent.
Spector, Blues' longest-serving player after arriving at St Andrew's in August 2011, made 179 first-team appearances for Birmingham.
Manager Gianfranco Zola told the club's official website: "I am a little bit disappointed and sad that Jonathan Spector will be leaving us. He deserves that. He's going to go home and I wish him all the best."
