Jurgen Klinsmann says there is nothing in a report linking him with the manager's job at Sunderland.

A weekend report in the Daily Mail said Klinsmann is the top target of a German consortium in the running to buy the club from current owner Ellis Short.

But the former Germany boss, out of a job since leaving his post with the United States national team in November, said: "No truth on rumours coaching Sunderland FC in the near future."

Sunderland are still looking for a replacement for David Moyes, who resigned after overseeing the club's relegation to the Championship in his one season on Wearside.
