Brendan Galloway in action for Everton.

Sunderland have completed the signing of Everton defender Brendan Galloway on a season-long loan.

He could be followed into the club by team-mate Tyias Browning, who has also had a medical on Wearside, Sky sources understand.

Galloway has made 19 senior appearances for his parent club and is contracted until 2019.

The Zimbabwean-born defender signed from MK Dons in 2014 and was loaned to West Brom last season.

The England U17, U18 and U19 international appeared just five times under Tony Pulis and will now continue his development in the Championship.

The 21-year-old is Simon Grayson's first signing since being appointed Sunderland manager last month.
