West Brom are interested in Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe, Sky Sports News understands.
Sky Sports News reported earlier in the window that the Cherries have no interest in selling the 24-year-old, preferring to part with Lewis Grabban after he was recalled from a loan at Norwich.
Wolves are also understood to be monitoring Afobe's situation and are open to taking him back to Molineux, where he scored 23 goals prior to a £10m move to Bournemouth in 2016.
Afobe has made 17 Premier League appearances this season, but has only started five of those games.
Afobe has made the list of possibilities drawn up by Baggies boss Alan Pardew and his staff, but Sky Sports News has been told they can only spend if they sell centre-back Jonny Evans this month.
Evans is a target for Manchester City and Arsenal, and Sky Sports News reported on Monday that he has a release clause at just £3m.
Afobe came through the academy at Arsenal and spent time on loan with a series of clubs before he was signed by Wolves in January 2015.
