West Brom caretaker manager Darren Moore was encouraged by what he saw from his side during their 2-2 draw with Liverpool despite the fact they seem destined for relegation to the Sky Bet Championship after eight seasons in the top flight.
The Baggies kept their slim hopes of Premier League survival alive with a stunning late comeback thanks to goals from Jake Livermore and then Salomon Rondon after Danny Ings and Mohamed Salah had given the visitors the lead..
The point means Moore's side's grip on their eight-year Premier League stay would continue unless Swansea beat champions Manchester City on Sunday.
"We'll look to see how the results go today," Moore told Sky Sports. "I've said all along I only look to the game and the game today was a massive hurdle in terms of Liverpool and we've come out with a positive performance and a good point.
"We went into the game wanting to win it but we didn't and we've drawn the game. We now just look on at what happens this afternoon and over the weekend with the rest of the results.
"We can't determine that so, all we are worried about here at West Bromwich Albion Football Club is we keep performing like that, we keep getting positive results and we keep looking forward to the next game."
The draw saw Moore take his record to five points from three games, which includes two of the top four, and the 43-year-old was delighted with the result against Jurgen Kloop's side.
"I'm delighted with everybody here at the football club," he said. "We've gone out there today as a football club and taken on a very good team, an excellent team that's on top of their game. We've given a right good go and we've come out of it with a deserved performance and a result.
"We just felt we needed to keep our discipline, that togetherness and that spirit that we've always had and just keep believing. We just said when there's a will you'll win the game and we wanted to go and win the game. Being 2-0 down against Liverpool and to come back is no mean feat. It's an excellent performance and we're really delighted with that."
He added: "The atmosphere in here was superb; the staff, in terms of their preparation, have been great and the players have continued that on to the pitch. Together we have earned that."
Klopp was left furious at the final whistle and he questioned the quality of the pitch after his side threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with bottom-of-the-table West Brom
The German thought it was too dry and should have been watered at half-time but Moore was left unconcerned by the state of the pitch.
Asked whether not watering the pitch was pre-meditated he added: "It wasn't a ploy. It was a really hot day today. I was so engrossed in the game in terms of preparation my focus was not about the pitch."
