Wolves have confirmed the signing of full-back Ben Marshall from Sky Bet Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.
Sky sources understand that the fee is just under £2m, with the full-back arriving on a three-and-a-half year contract, with a further option to extend the deal by a year.
Marshall was out of contract at Blackburn in the summer, and was dropped by Owen Coyle after the player rejected a new deal and made it clear he wanted to leave.
"Ben is a strong Championship player who has shown he can be successful at this level and, in our eyes, also has the ability to play higher," said Wolves sporting director Kevin Thelwell.
"The fact he is so versatile in being able to play across four different positions makes him a really good addition to the group.
"We have tracked Ben's progress for a long time and it also becomes a no-brainer given that, like Andy Weimann, Ben is so well known to Paul.
"It becomes a really easy decision for us in that respect provided we can get the players in and we are delighted to get this one over the line.
"Ben has got really extensive experience but is still at a good age with great technical ability and the potential to both provide assists and score himself.
"We are really confident that he is another talented player who is going to improve the group."
