Nottingham Forest have signed Joao Teixeira on loan from Wolves for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old had been on loan at Wolves during the first half of the campaign, scoring twice in 20 appearances.

He is a product of Benfica's academy and represented Portugal at every youth level from U16 to U21 level.

Teixeira spent time on loan at Vitora de Guimaraes last season but has never made a senior start for Benfica.

He is not the same Joao Teixeira that was part of Liverpool's youth system and previously spent time on loan at Brentford and Brighton in the Championship, who plays for Porto.

Forest are close to making a number of signings on Transfer Deadline Day, including Gboly Ariyibi from Chesterfield and their former player Luke Chambers from Ipswich.
