Wolves have completed the signing of defender Roderick Miranda from Rio Ave in Portugal.

The 26-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year deal after signing for an undisclosed fee.

Miranda worked under recently-appointed Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo at Rio Ave and he is looking forward to working under him again in England.

"This is perhaps one of the best leagues in the world so to be a part of this league is a dream - I want to help Wolves to be as high as possible," Miranda said.

"Of course it's easier coming to a new club when you know the coach but the important thing for me was the interest that the club showed in me signing.

"I'm very happy to be here, I'm very happy to work with Nuno again and I'm sure Nuno will bring a lot of joy to Wolves fans.

"I'm familiar with Silvio (Pereira), Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro - that will make it easier for me to fit in perhaps, but I hope to join with everybody, to speak to everybody, to understand the English culture and to improve my English as well."
