Stoke City are close to completing a deal to sign highly-rated Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi, according to Sky sources.
The 19-year-old helped his club Al Ahly to the Egyptian title last season, under former Tottenham manager Martin Jol.
The Potters are expected to pay an initial fee of around £2.5m before loaning the player out to another European club to gain experience and help him meet the UK criteria for a work permit.
Sobhi has played six times for his country in the last 12 months, which falls short of the Home Office demands.
