Stoke City are in advanced talks with Wolves over a potential £12million deal to sign striker Benik Afobe, Sky Sports News understands.
Newly-promoted Premier League side Wolves are prepared to sell Afobe despite signing him permanently for £10m from Bournemouth just last week, if they can make a profit.
Stoke - recently relegated to the Championship and under new manager Gary Rowett - are also in talks with West Brom to sign James McClean.
However, the two clubs still some way apart on price, with Stoke prepared to pay £5m but Albion want more than £6m.
Afobe was sold by Wolves to Bournemouth for £10m in January 2016 but he returned to Molineux on loan last season, where he scored seven goals.
Republic of Ireland international McClean, meanwhile, was relegated with West Brom and is wanted by Rowett as he attempts to take the Potters straight back to the top flight.
Wolves are also in talks with Internazionale over a potential £35m deal to sign right-back Joao Cancelo, according to Sky in Italy.
