Alan Pardew reacts to Crystal Palace's 3-3 draw against Hull

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is adamant that Hull's Robert Snodgrass dived to win a penalty during Saturday's exciting 3-3 draw at the KCOM Stadium.

There were talking points aplenty after an enthralling game, which ended with Palace snatching a point thanks to a late Fraizer Campbell header.

But much of the talk focused on an incident in the first half when Snodgrass won a penalty, which he successfully converted, despite the fact Scott Dann seemed to pull out of his tackle before contact was made.

Dann was booked as the Palace players protested referee Mike Jones' decision and Pardew felt their outrage was justified.

"The first-half penalty, I feel sorry for the referee," said Pardew. "Because he is not at a great angle, he has got no linesman that side.

"Scotty Dann goes in for a challenge, perhaps which he shouldn't go in for, but pulls out, and the player just dives.

Charlie Nicholas shares his thoughts on the six-goal thriller between Hull City and Crystal Palace

"It is as obvious as you can see.

"There is no point us, Premier League managers, treading on eggshells and getting into trouble. The player dived and our reaction was what it was. I would not expect my players to react any other way.

"We are going to react to that situation - and we get a booking for it."

Palace equalised through a penalty of their own and Pardew felt they could have had at least one more spot-kick.

"There were a couple of decisions after that [the Hull penalty] which I was disappointed about," he added.

"I thought Huddlestone fouled [Benteke] before their third goal with a tackle and Dawson fouls Christian Benteke for another penalty, and he [the ref] has got two good views of those.

"My team showed tremendous character today, as Hull did, to be fair.

"A great game of football, and Mike [Phelan, Hull boss] said that to me at the end. It was, but perhaps the two managers are slightly disappointed with some of the errors."

The top performance on show came from Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who scored a superb goal, won the penalty, and created the late equaliser with a sumptuous cross.

Zaha is reportedly considering switching his international allegiance to the Ivory Coast and Pardew thinks England need to act.

"England are missing a trick here because this boy is only 23," he said.

"He goes to Manchester United because Sir Alex Ferguson and his team think this player has massive potential.

"Now that potential is coming through and anyone who was at the game today, from England. Wow! That report must be 10 out of 10, he was phenomenal today.

"He has had my advice but that will stay private between me and him. But I am an Englishman - I think it's pretty obvious."
