Alan Pardew assured over Crystal Palace future by chairman Steve Parish

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has been assured his job is safe by Selhurst Park chairman Steve Parish.
Pardew admitted he was under pressure before a run of six successive Premier League defeats was halted by a 3-0 home victory over Southampton last weekend.
The win lifted Palace up to 14th in the table and Parish admits he has confidence in the former Charlton and Newcastle boss to continue their upward trend.
Speaking to talkSPORT he said: "Alan has a 41 percent win record at Palace which is pretty astonishing.
"It's totally safe (Pardew's job) in that every manager is under pressure. It's a binary industry and you have to win football matches.
"We have to find the balance. There's plenty right and we just need to fix the things that are wrong. If we're in crisis then there are a lot of clubs in crisis. We need to get points on the board and everyone is behind Alan in doing that.
"He's a positive force around the football club. If you look at the league, the top teams have gone on to a different level but it's very flat at the bottom."
Palace will look to build on last weekend's result when they travel to second-bottom Hull City on Saturday.
