Sky sources understand Christian Benteke will categorically not be moving to China in this transfer window, as was reported in the Belgian media overnight.

The possibility of the Belgian striker leaving Crystal Palace this month, however, has not been ruled out.

Benteke joined Palace in the summer for £32m following an indifferent campaign at Liverpool, signing a four-year contract.

The former Aston Villa player scored 10 goals for Liverpool but started just 14 Premier League games during his time at Anfield.

Benteke has netted eight times in 20 appearances since his switch to Selhurst Park and is Palace's leading scorer ahead of midfielder James McArthur.

Palace currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the Premier League table.
