Frank de Boer is wasting no time in this summer's transfer market, with an £8m deal for Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald expected to be agreed later this week.
De Boer gave the Dutch international his first-team debut for Ajax in 2013 and whilst a fee and personal terms are yet to be completed, it's understood agreement on both has been reached in principle.
Ajax's director of football Marc Overmars has been willing to sanction a deal after a season in which manager Peter Bosz chose to use Riedewald more as a defensive midfielder, leading to him spending more time on the subs' bench.
A number of Premier League clubs including Everton and Spurs have been interested in Riedewald in recent months, but it looks likely that he'll be confirmed as a Palace player in the next few days.
Earlier today De Boer confirmed his first signing of the summer with Reuben Loftus-Cheek joining Palace from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
