Burnley manager Sean Dyche says he is still hopeful of making an addition or two to his squad before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

Burnley's attempt to land Robert Snodgrass ended in failure when the Scotland international ended up moving to West Ham instead.

But Robbie Brady of Norwich has also been linked with a move to Burnley and, although he would not comment on any deals specifically, Dyche says he has some irons in the fire.

"There's nothing literal now, we just have to wait and see," said Dyche.

"There's a couple of things in process but we'll just have to see if they get over the line."

Anyone who arrives at Burnley will become part of a squad who have reached the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2011.

And, on a Saturday strewn with upsets, Dyche was pleased his side produced a professional display to defeat Bristol City 2- 0 at Turf Moor.

"I've seen a couple of results and it is the cup, some odd things can happen," said Dyche.

"We wanted to take care of what we had to do and I thought we did, and we did it in a controlled manner."
