Russell Slade has been sacked as Coventry City manager after less than four months at the club.
The 56-year-old was appointed as Tony Mowbray's successor in December with Coventry in 23rd place in Sky Bet League One, but has been unable to inspire a turnaround in their fortunes.
Sky sources understand City will appoint Mark Robins as Slade's successor this week; Robins has already had one spell in charge of the club, between September 2012 and February 2013.
He went on to take charge at Huddersfield before latterly spending 15 months at Scunthorpe, leaving Glanford Park in January 2016.
Slade won just one of his 13 league matches in charge of Coventry, who now occupy bottom spot and are 13 points from safety with 11 matches remaining in their season.
However, Coventry did reach the EFL Trophy final under Slade and will play Oxford United at Wembley on April 2.
A club statement read: "Coventry City FC has today parted company with first-team manager Russell Slade, effective immediately.
"The club would like to wish Russell all the very best for the future. A further announcement will follow in due course."
Slade, who was sacked by Charlton Athletic in November, had signed a deal with the Sky Blues that ran until the end of the season.
The goalless draw at Shrewsbury Town was Slade's final match as Coventry boss.
