Leonardo Ulloa is on the verge of signing a new contract with Leicester, six months after handing in a transfer request, according to Sky sources.
The Argentine striker wants to stay with the Foxes and he feels relationships have now been repaired after falling out with previous manager Claudio Ranieri who he claims reneged on a promise that he could leave in January.
It is understood Ulloa has been told by new manager Craig Shakespeare that he is part of his plans for the new season, despite Leicester agreeing a deal for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho should complete a move to the King Power Stadium in the next few days.

Ulloa has one more season left on his current Leicester deal, but is now waiting for the paperwork to be drawn up on a new contract.
Three Spanish clubs - Gatafe, Real Betis and Levante - are monitoring the situation, and would be interested in signing Ulloa if he became available.
Ulloa told SSNHQ in January he would remain professional at Leicester and wouldn't go on strike despite being distraught at failing to move on Deadline Day.
The 2016 Premier League champions rejected a third and final bid of £7.5m plus add-ons from Sunderland.
