Steve Evans is in talks with Mansfield and Charlton about their vacant managerial posts, according to Sky sources.
The former Leeds United boss has held advanced negotiations with Mansfield, whose manager Adam Murray resigned on Monday with the club 18th in League Two.
But League One Charlton are also on the lookout in the wake of Russell Slade's departure, and it is understood Evans is also on their radar.
The Scot, previously in charge at Boston, Crawley and Rotherham, has been out of work since a seven-month spell at Elland Road ended in the summer.
Evans, 54, led Rotherham into the Championship via the play-offs in 2014 and kept them up the following season.
