Bafetimbi Gomis is close to joining Marseille on loan after they agreed a deal with Swansea for the Frenchman.

Gomis scored in each of his first four Premier League games last season but then only struck three more times in 31 appearances.

He was left out of Swansea's 5-1 friendly win at Bristol Rovers on Saturday ahead of his season-long switch back to his homeland.
