Swansea midfielder Roque Mesa is close to completing a loan move to Sevilla, according to Sky sources.
Mesa is in Spain ahead of a potential medical as the clubs finalise the details, following discussions over the 28-year-old.
He signed for the Swans from Las Palmas for £11m last summer but Sky Sports News understands Mesa is frustrated with his first-team involvement, having made only 11 top-flight appearances for the Premier League's bottom side.
The deal would see him join Sevilla until the end of the season, with a possible option to buy.
Mesa was left out of Swansea's squad for their 1-1 draw in the FA Cup fourth round against Notts County on Saturday.
Swansea would be willing to let Mesa leave as they have ample midfield options, while his departure could free up their wage bill and help them in their hunt for a centre-forward.
Carlos Carvalhal's side have had a bid rejected by West Ham for striker Andre Ayew, who left Swansea in August 2016.
